Meet our Myotherapist Mary Nosal, she graduated from Kangan Batman TAFE in 2008 with an advanced diploma of remedial massage and myotherapy.
Myotherapy is a form of physical therapy that helps to treat musculoskeletal conditions due to poor posture, biomechanics and injury.
Some of the techniques used by Mary are:
Myofascial Release – gentle sustained pressure to myofascial connective tissue to eliminate pain and restore motion.
Lymphatic Drainage – helps regenerated tissue to reduce scarring and surgical incision sites, also helps reduce swelling and detoxify the body
Traditional Cupping – Loosen muscles, encourage blood flow and calm the nervous system. Used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines.
TMJ dysfunction (Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome)
Reflexology – a form of complimentary therapy through massage of the feet which aims to promote wellness in other areas of the body.
Indian Head massage – relieves aches, pains and tension. Stimulates the flow of blood, lymph and oxygen to the upper body, helps clear sinuses and relieve stress.
Mary loves working with a wide range of the community from toddlers to people in the late 90’s and children to adults with disabilities and mental health issues.
Mary has done a lot of volunteer work doing paediatric massage in Vietnam with an organisation called Buds to Blossoms, they provide care for the orphans and for children and families with HIV/Aids in Vietnams, Cambodia and Nepal
She loves to travel, meeting new people.
